Hutton Buscel Church transformed into a tavern last night as the Tuesday Singers, based at Scarborough Academy of Music, treated everyone to favourite songs from the musical, "Oliver,"  including "Consider Yourself,"  "I'd do Anything," (with Paul Bellinger as the Arttful Dodger) and "Oom-pah-pah."

The soloists are to be congratulated for their performances:-

Michael O'Brien, in full costume as Fagin gave a great performance of  "You've Got to Pick a Pocket or Two."

Helena Appleton-Power had us close to tears with "Where is Love?"

Pamela Johnson sang "As Long as He Needs Me."

In the final number, Jane Marshall led the chorus, in an energized rendering of the popular  "Oom-pah-pah."
