The idea of "Singaround," is  to have an evening once a month where everyone has the opportunity to perform or just enjoy listening to others.

All members of the Academy are welcome.

Last night, Monday 7th March, was the first  "Singaround" and it proved to be a huge success.

Low lighting and candles set the scene for a relaxing evening. Everyone enjoyed the wine and nibbles as they chatted before the singing started.

The enthusiasm of the Tuesday Singers ensured we were not going to be disappointed.

Gary and Bob each sang a selection of songs with guitar accompaniment.

Eileen gave a gentle and sensitive performance of Eva Cassidy's arrangement  of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Deb enjoyed singing  "I Dreamed a Dream," from Les Miserables.

Pauline wowed everyone with "I Have Dreamed,"  from "The King and I."

Elaine changed the mood with a little jazz number  "Don't Know Why," made famous by Nora Jones.

All the performers must be congratulated, particularly those who hadn't had any experience of singing until they joined the Tuesday Singers only last year.
